Abschaltautomatik

Eine Abschaltung erfolgt:

– wenn das Wasser kocht,

– wenn kein Wasser eingefüllt ist

(bei unbeabsichtigtem Einschalten),

– wenn der Deckel geöffnet wird,

– wenn der Wasserkocher vom Sockel genom-

men wird.

Ist der Kalkﬁlter nicht eingesetzt, verlängert sich

die Abschaltzeit.

Reinigung

Vor der Reinigung Netzstecker ziehen. Kanne und

Sockel dürfen niemals in Wasser getaucht wer-

den. Kanne und Sockel können mit einem feuch-

ten Tuch abgewischt werden. Das Kanneninnere

kann mit einer Bürste gereinigt werden.

Der herausnehmbare Kalkﬁlter ist spülmaschi-

nengeeignet.

Entkalken

• Zur Verlängerung der Lebensdauer des Wasser-

kochers und zum Energiesparen empfehlen

wir in folgenden Abständen zu entkalken:

– Alle 3 Monate bei normalem Gebrauch

(bis zu 5x pro Tag) und weichem bis mittel-

hartem Wasser.

– Monatlich bei häuﬁgerem Gebrauch bzw.

hartem Wasser.

Die Wasserhärte können Sie bei Ihrem zustän-

digen Versorgungswerk erfragen.

• Kochen Sie ca. 0,8 l Wasser im Wasserkocher.

• Wichtig: Schalten Sie das Gerät aus und

geben Sie 0,4 l Haushaltsessig (4% Säure)

hinzu. Die Lösung nicht aufkochen, da diese

herausspritzen kann: Verbrühungsgefahr!

• Lassen Sie das Essigwasser über Nacht im

Gerät stehen.

• Leeren Sie den Wasserkocher am nächsten

Tag und spülen Sie ihn mit klarem Wasser aus.

Füllen Sie den Wasserkocher mit klarem Was-

ser und lassen Sie es kochen.

• Leeren Sie den Wasserkocher und spülen Sie

ihn nochmals mit klarem Wasser aus.

• Bleiben Rückstände von Kesselstein übrig, so

wiederholen Sie den Vorgang.

• Auch der Kalkﬁlter kann zum Entkalken mit

Essigwasser getränkt werden.

Änderungen vorbehalten.

Dieses Gerät darf am Ende seiner

Lebensdauer nicht mit dem Hausmüll

entsorgt werden. Die Entsorgung kann über

den Braun Kundendienst oder lokal verfügbare

Rückgabe- und Sammelsysteme erfolgen.

Make sure that your voltage corresponds

to the

voltage printed on the bottom of the kettle. The

kettle may only be operated on the base (g)

supplied.

• Only

use the kettle to heat water.

• Only operate the kettle on a dry, ﬂat and ﬁxed

surface.

• Never let the cord hang down from the worktop.

The cord length may be reduced by winding it

up with the cord storage facility.

• The base, the kettle or the cord must never get

in contact with hot surfaces (e. g. stove plates).

• In case the empty kettle is switched on acci-

dentally, the overheating protection will cut it

off automatically. In this case, allow the kettle

10 minutes to cool down before ﬁlling it with

water.

• Caution:

Do not overﬁll the kettle!

Water could boil over and cause scalding.

• Do not open the lid while water is boiling.

• During operation, the kettle will get hot. There-

fore only use the handle to carry it. Always

hold the kettle in an upright position, to avoid

boiling water come out.

• Check the cord regularly for possible damage.
